about acorn communities

A Lifestyle-First Builder since 2001

Who We Are

Acorn Communities designs and builds master-planned residential communities with a strong track record in the Okanagan and beyond. Under current ownership since 2001, Acorn has spent more than two decades shaping neighbourhoods. Our work focuses on developing cohesive communities with thoughtful layouts, consistent streetscapes, and homes that feel practical, comfortable, and reduce friction from daily life.

Acorn takes a long-term approach to planning and delivery. We build communities where location, design, and livability work together, giving buyers a clear sense of what they are stepping into. Today, that approach continues in our current Okanagan communities, with future projects in planning both in and beyond the region.

our communities

Each Acorn community is planned with its own setting, pace, and lifestyle in mind, while sharing the same focus on cohesive design, practical layouts, and long-term livability.

practical energy-efficiency

Our approach to sustainability centers around a focus on thoughtful design and building practices, reducing unnecessary energy and water use while keeping homes comfortable and easy to maintain.

Xeriscape Landscaping for Water Conservation

Acorn Communities utilizes xeriscape landscaping, which is a water-efficient approach that uses drought-resistant plants and smart irrigation systems. Xeriscaping not only enhances curb appeal but also significantly reduces water consumption.

Advanced Energy-Efficient Building Techniques

Our construction methods incorporate the latest sustainability innovations, including high-performance insulation, energy-efficient windows, and air-tight building envelopes. These practices improve indoor comfort, lower energy costs, and reduce environmental impact.

our build process philosophy

Acorn Communities values integrity, high standards, and follow-through. We focus on designing harmonious neighbourhoods and quality homes that feel good to live in and hold up to everyday use. That means thoughtful design decisions, consistent streetscapes, and a practical approach to comfort, durability, and livability.

We also believe your experience with us should be clear and respectful. Our team stays hands-on and communicative so buyers can understand what is available, what comes next, and how to move forward without confusion. Relationships matter, too; from the local trades who help deliver the work, to the communities we build in.
